Violin…Violin

November 10th, 2008 by rayshells

I am having Violin lessons every saturday. I enjoy it very much.. at least much more than driving.. haa haa… i guess it’s going to take some more time for me to learn how to appreciate driving.

There’s so much to learn about playing the Violin. From reading the scores, knowing the chords etc… it’s just like knowing a new friend. It reminds me of the day I brought Minnie home. Introducing her to my family, getting to know her better, in terms of her favourite toy / food. It’s so amazing.

But Minnie seems to be less interested in the Violin. For sure, she’s curious about the rosin. I guess she thought that’s food… haa haa haa …. She doesn’t even want to listen to me when I am practising. At least, Albert responded. Haa haa… he’s cute… he tried to catch up with the pitch i played. Just like singing along with the violin.

Hope it wouldn’t be too long for me to master the world most famous ‘Mary had a little lamb.’ I thought it would be easy to play this, until, my tutor played ‘Twinkle Twinkle Little Star’…. haa haa…. I can’t play the song for sure, I was only playing the supporting part. Definitely, I have a long way to go …. ….. haa haa haa…

星の金貨

October 9th, 2008 by rayshells

It has been so long since I visited my own blog. Well, other than my promotion in September, there is not much to talk about at work. Haa Haa……

Just recently or to be precise, 2 days ago…. I started to watch this Japanese drama - Hoshi no Kinka, which I had watched 15 years ago! 15 years le…. wow… couldn’t believe it…. I really thought it would be boring to watch a drama all over again, especially one which I had watched 15 years ago. But NO!  It’s still so touching!!!!!! Oh my God! I can’t believe it! I guess what I can say is that the script is so well written that for years to pass… it will still warm generations to come! You can see some of the lead casts still look the same!

Well, perhaps… only stories with sad ending will remain in people’s heart. Maybe, it’s because people take happiness for granted…..? After watching it, I was reminded of promises that were not kept. How much importance do people place in keeping their promises? I really wonder. Or would it be better if we just live our life day after day…  without being too bothered about keeping promises? I think just let it go.. it’s no longer important to keep promises or whether others kept their promises to you. Most importantly is you! Only you yourself deserves the best of life. Ultimately, only God will fulfill his promises to you!

My Driving Lesson

August 15th, 2008 by rayshells

Finally, i had my first driving lesson last week. And tomorrow, will be my second lesson. Really looking forward to that, it has never cross my mind that one day i will drive.

But i think it will take me till the end of the year to clear all the lessons and test. So far, it’s fun and exciting for me and i am really serious about getting the driving license soon. At least, i can drive my family around, not always my dad who has been driving and fetching us home all the time.

I guess i have to be patient about it, cos the items in my to-do list seems to be increasing all the time.

At first, my goal was to pass the final theory only, which is some time in May. Then i had my hair cut because of that.

Then, i was planning for the GMAT test since June, so that i will be ready for the MBA programme next year. Now, i have to concentrate on the driving test first, as this seems to be the priority now. I have also plans to take up Violin!! This is the most exciting part, not sure when or whether it will eventually come true. But i will do my best for it to happen.

好久没唱歌了!!!

July 14th, 2008 by rayshells

My First Short Hair Cut

May 30th, 2008 by rayshells

Finally, i had my hair cut SHORT!! Yeah, i have got permission from my mom. My goodness, i always thought i will look extremely funny with short hair. Those who knew me know that i have a mom who doesn’t encourage us to cut our hair short. To her, it’s absolutely fine if you spend $80 just to have a trim. And yes, you can have any cut you want, just keep the length.

But now, i think i like the new hairstyle. At least, it’s new to me and so far, i am very comfortable with it. And the best thing is, my mom thinks it’s very nice too!! hahaahahahah

Good Bye Braces….

March 25th, 2008 by rayshells

Good bye & Thank you braces!…. finally i can get to say good bye to my 2 year companion. I have waited long for this day… After my braces was removed, i had my first meal at Ajisen with mom and sis. I had Ton Toro Ramen, and you will never understand how much i have enjoyed this meal….. It seems like my taste buds had been on vacation for the past 2 years and now they are back! Or perhaps the soup base was specially prepared to celebrate my big day. hahahahahaha Now, i enjoy food so much better and i am looking forward to celebrate Minnie’s first year birthday this Sunday with my family. I will be taking my family to Chong Qing steamboat, and I have also ordered a birthday cake for Minnie and her friends. Keep a lookout! Cos i will be uploading her pictures!!!!

1990s..the good old days…..

March 10th, 2008 by rayshells

How i wish i can return to the 1990s…. perhaps to the time i was only ten years old. haa haa…

That was the time when my family and some of my friends were so crazy about the cantopop stars… haa haa… yeah … that was also the time when our 4 heavenly kings emerged.

I still remember the days, when my mom was a full time housewife. She rented ongoing videos on Hong Kong dramas and concerts. And also, that was the time i picked up Cantonese and because of the interest for the language, I was a top student for chinese language then. haa haa, i also didn’t know how i was able to read chinese characters in cantonese.

The good old days, when i spent watching my favourite idol on TV. As i searched through the net for traces of my childhood idol, i realised that he has aged too…so sadz!!!! hahahha, but i guess that is life, yah.

Actually, come to think about it, i don’t even belong to my mom’s era, but just as my brother, i am able to relate to songs that were sung during that era. And it’s the song of that era that melts my heart. It’s so tough to come across songs like this again…

As i fancied Leon Lai and was super biased then, i have neglected many other wonderful artiste like Hacken Lee…etc. Nevertheless, i was glad that even though time may have passed, but with the omnipresence of technology, i can still do a recap of the wonderful performances of the past.

This has taught me something in return. In some part of your life, there may be certain experiences or times which you want to forget. Then, you will try very hard to do anything you can think of to make yourself forgetful. However, this could in return, cause you to forget the wonderful things which you never want to forget.

Runaway Minnie?!

January 6th, 2008 by rayshells

My gosh……. Minnie was found ‘LOST’ on Sunday, 6th January 2008! Normally, she will respond to my call and no matter how faraway she is, i can always hear the bell ringing on her collar.

But there was dead slience when i called for her yesterday. I went out of the room… still no sign of her. I went back to my room searching for, thinking it must be my siblings’ mischief.

I was wrong.. cos’ when i went back to my room, they were shocked too… ‘why was there no response from her?’ Then all ran out, trying to locate where she was.

Finally, my little brother found her "OUTSIDE" the house, with the gates locked. Apparently, she was LOCKED outside.

Again, it was my grandma who has done her laundry outside, and she claimed that she ‘didn’t know’ that Minnie was outside when she locked the door!

Haiz…… lost of words. Don’t tell me you expect the pet to tell you that you have accidentally locked her outside when Human Beings are supposed to have a pair of eyes.

Fortunately, Minnie didn’t wonder around or i should say…. she stayed where she was, trying to catch our attention that she was outside……….

Last day of 2007

December 30th, 2007 by rayshells

Time files for 2007…

First part of the year, i had spent it meaningfully with my greatest GCG folks through numerous challenging closing…and of course with all the fun, joy and laughters… HA HA HA

Second part of the year marked the beginning of a new chapter.  A new environment, new job, new people, new location… Even though i am unable to laugh whole heartedly here, i guess there’s always a price to pay for new development. It’s inevitable, isn’t it? Even though so, i have met great people here. First time i learnt to be part of my pet’s family and be responsible for their well being. From the ensuring reasonable hygiene to healthy diets…. every little detail is crucial and much of my time is now devoted to her. All that i have done is to ensure that she will lead a happy life with me. Thanks Nat, for all the sharing session!! i thank god for you…. :)

Then i had a piece of good news yesterday.. my dentist told me that i should be able to remove my braces in 4 months time!!! YEAH!!!!!!! And he said that i will be removing it earlier that expected!! So cool…. you guys will never be able to understand the agony of wearing one…. when your cousin has his braces removed before you!!!! Hee hee… so it will be a new me for 2008 too!!!

All the bad happenings has passed…. and it will be a happy and wonderful year ahead of me!! Yeah!!!!!
